RSS, in its simplest form, is a function that tells you when a site or
blog has been updated. It's a quick way of finding out "what's new"
across several of your favourite sites, in one place. It saves time,
basically.
Here is a great video to help you understand what RSS is...
All you need is an RSS reader.
Here are some popular free readers you can download...
Once you've downloaded your chosen reader, get to know how it works.
They're pretty simple to use. It's just like bookmarking your
favourites in
your web browser, except this time you'll be bookmarking "live links".
The live link you'll need to paste into your reader for fretjam.com
is...
That's the address that tells your reader when I update this site. When
you check your reader, you'll know whether fretjam.com has been updated
since your last visit or not.
In future, whenever you come across the RSS symbol on a site or blog all
you have to do is click on it and then copy the URL of that feed page
into your reader.
Alternatively, if you're visiting the site anyway, simply click on the
RSS symbol on the homepage to be taken to the feed page and you can see
the latest lessons from the most recent and back.
