Jazz Guitar Lessons

Welcome to the jazz guitar lessons hub! From here, you can go right from beginner to pure playing confidence in one of the most complex genres of music there is. If you want to learn jazz guitar the simple way, this is your "springboard" resource to develop your guitar playing and then hopefully leave you feeling more confident about playing and improvising jazz.

Jazz comes in all shapes and forms, but the theory behind it all is what gives it that unique sound. Now, I know how boring music theory can get, so with these jazz guitar lessons I have thought long and hard at the compromise I would inevitably have to make...

Whilst you do have to be prepared to learn some theory to really understand and learn jazz guitar properly, there are more interesting and effective ways for it to sink in. I've made sure these ways are engrained into each of my lessons.

You'll learn: chord shapes, scales, rhythm patterns and even how to in-build cadences and tensions that all work behind the scenes to make those perfect jazz progressions.

Beginning Jazz Guitar Practically

A practical beginner's guide to jazz guitar. Learn the common "shell" chord shapes and put them to use in a typical jazz progression. Easy to follow, and of course with clear diagrams and audio for reference.
